Suor Angelica

To hide a scandal, Sister Angelica’s wealthy family took away her infant son and forced her to enter a convent.  Seven years later, Angelica still dreams of her child. When a visiting aunt reveals that the beloved son has been dead for years, the distraught Angelica makes a fatal decision.

Gianni Schicci

Buoso Donati has died, and his relatives are horrified: he’s left all his money to a monastery. The family turns to the cunning Gianni Schicchi to alter Buoso’s will. Gianni cooks up a brilliant scheme, but the greedy family is in for the shock of their lives! This rollicking comedy features one of the best-known arias in opera, “O mio babbino caro.”
