Opera Star and PSU alumna Audrey Luna performs a recital of Richard Strauss, Claude Debussy and Samuel Barber's nostalgic "Knoxville Summer of 1915." Ms. Luna will be joined by pianist Chuck Dillard.
Sought after for her “power and blazing coloratura facility that most lyric sopranos can only dream of” (Opera News), soprano Audrey Luna regularly performs on the world’s greatest stages including the Metropolitan Opera, Vienna State Opera, Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, Houston Grand Opera, Teatro La Fenice and the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
Ms. Luna recently set the record for singing the highest written note on the Metropolitan Opera stage, A6, during the American premiere production of Thomas Adès’ new opera "The Exterminating Angel."
Ms. Luna will also give a free master class, coaching PSU Opera students on the art of singing, on Saturday, February 9.
