Join us at our second ever MESA Talks, a small conference-like event where all members of the MESA Community can come together and interact!
We will be featuring speakers that highlight topics that matter to the MESA Community and embody the spirit of our MESA Values: Community, Challenge, Diversity, Innovation, Empathy, History, Equity, and Resilience. Our goal is to celebrate the success of our community members, explore different scientific disciplines, and open a window into the unique and special lives that make up MESA.
Started in 1985 as a partnership between Portland Public Schools and Portland State University as a tool to help with the desegregation of schools, Oregon MESA has worked to increased equity in STEM for over 35 years. MESA Talks are community conversations that highlight the importance of diverse voices and perspectives in the STEM fields. This event is hosted by Oregon MESA, a program of PSU’s Maseeh College of Engineering & Computer Science, and in partnership with the Portland State Business Accelerator
This event will be held at the PSU Business Accelerator, Mt Hood Room, 2828 SW Corbett Ave
