Dr. Nussbaum, both an alumna and a professor emerita of Portland State, has been affiliated with PSU since 1959. A Holocaust survivor and scholar and childhood friend of Anne Frank, Dr. Nussbaum will celebrate 60 years of affiliation with PSU by presenting her research on Hans Calmeyer, a German lawyer who helped thousands of Jews escape deportation from the Netherlands during the German occupation.
