The French connection: In Sonates Pour Violon et Piano, Tomás Cotik, professor of violin, and pianist Eunhye Grace Choi unite for a tour de force through the ever-varying Sonata genre, performing the early, French-influenced Mozart Sonata K. 301 (1778), the famous Violin Sonata by Franco-Belgian composer, Cesar Franck (1886) and Francis Poulenc's Op. 119, written in Paris in memory of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca (1943), Friday, November 11, at Lincoln Recital Hall.

Mozart: Sonata for Violin and Piano, K. 301.

Poulenc: Sonata for Violin and Piano, Op. 119.

Franck: Sonata in A for Violin and Piano
