The French connection: In Sonates Pour Violon et Piano, Tomás Cotik, professor of violin, and pianist Eunhye Grace Choi unite for a tour de force through the ever-varying Sonata genre, performing the early, French-influenced Mozart Sonata K. 301 (1778), the famous Violin Sonata by Franco-Belgian composer, Cesar Franck (1886) and Francis Poulenc's Op. 119, written in Paris in memory of the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca (1943), Friday, November 11, at Lincoln Recital Hall.
